Specs: i5 11300h, 24GB DDR4 RAM @2667mhz, GTX 1650 Mobile, 512GB SSD. I’ve had it for 18 months, originally paid €1200. It comes with an 18-month warranty from Harvey Norman, but the rear vent cover is broken. I open it monthly for dusting and repasted it 4 months ago.
It has an I3 sticker on it, but you mention it’s an i5?

Yes, it’s an i5. I added that Sandy Bridge i3 sticker just for fun.

That’s a 2nd gen i3 sticker, perhaps from an old computer you owned.
Yeah, you definitely overpaid…

Wait, Harvey Norman? Are you talking about NZD? (Also, why Harvey Norman, PB Tech is way better)
@Uma
No, I mean in euros.
I thought Harvey Norman was only in New Zealand.
No, they are in Ireland and maybe the UK too.
300 - 400 euros.

You can get a laptop with a GTX 2050 or 3050 for the same price, which are better than the GTX 1650.

The 2050, 3050, and 4050 aren’t much better than the 1650. I had a laptop with a 1650 and now one with a 4050, and performance-wise, they’re similar in the mobile chip realm.
@Reed
But the newer models support ray tracing better. You’re saying a 1650 is equivalent to a 4050?

Yes, in terms of raw performance they are quite similar. Ray tracing and DLSS are nice, but only a small percentage of users actually utilize those features.

That’s a bit disappointing, but thanks for the info.

Someone suggested even lower, around 250 euros, but you might get 450 euros if you’re lucky. I bought a similar model for 1000 euros in 2020.
@Fin
250 euros seems too low. There’s a similar model listed for €550 nearby. I might list mine for €500 and settle if offered €450.

That sounds like a plan. If you’re upgrading, consider a model with an RTX 2060, it’s a significant step up from the GTX 1650.
@Fin
I’m actually building a custom PC with a Ryzen 7500f and RX 6650xt.
