I’m comparing two laptops: the Dell Latitude 5420 with an 11th Gen Core i7 1165G7 processor and the HP EliteBook 840 G6 with an 8th Gen Core i7 8665U processor. I plan to use the laptop for Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, and coding in VS Code. Which one would be better suited for these tasks?
Both laptops are similar in performance, but the Dell Latitude 5420 is newer with the 11th Gen processor. I’d recommend the Latitude without a doubt.

Thanks for the input. I’ve seen some concerns about the Dell Latitude 5420 online. Are these issues common across the model, or are they isolated incidents?
Go with the Latitude 5420. It’s equipped with Intel Iris Xe Graphics, which are superior for graphical tasks like those you’ve mentioned.

Appreciate the advice. Have you encountered any issues with the Dell 5420?
@Leighton
I haven’t heard of any significant issues. Dell laptops might come with some bloatware, but you can uninstall most of it. The Latitude series is well-built, especially for business use. Just ensure that the BIOS and drivers are up to date to fix any potential stability or performance issues.
