Got drunk and puked on my Lenovo Ideapad gaming 3... Can I clean under the keys or will professionals handle it?

Drunk idea… padded with guilt??

Look up a YouTube tutorial on replacing the keyboard for your specific laptop model. You’ll be able to clean under the keys, then put it back together with the same keyboard.

Slurp it out from under the keys using a thin straw.

Who the heck does this?

Holy crap, my poor laptop :frowning:

Be like my friend and puke on it again and again… just like he does to his keyboard when he’s drunk. It hit the floor a few times, met beers… it came through a lot. Welcome to gamer life.

I’ll clean it for $400, sir.

Geek Squad employee here. Throw up is considered a biohazard because it came from your body. They will refuse to clean it. And also, don’t try lying about it. I’ve had so many frat boys try to lie to me. It’s 100% obvious it’s throw up when you open it up. You will have to go to a third-party repair shop, and even then, I don’t know if they will do it. Good luck though.

Just saw something on the PCMR forum about an alcoholic father; I’m sensing a pattern here.

Try to puke on someone else’s laptop next time.

Nah man, put that thing in the dishwasher at this point. :skull_and_crossbones:

The fork, bro.

I’d suggest just replacing the keyboard at this point; it’s not going to be that expensive, and it’s not hard either if you just follow a tutorial.

Jfc man, clean up your own puke, what the heck?

Free RGB.

Gotta set some rules, man. Don’t drink or eat near your laptop.

Get that replaced; I’d be surprised if the keys even work.

Maybe stop drinking from now on?

Take the keys off and DEEP clean it!

This laptop needs a therapist, not a professional.

You should be able to pull the keys out and clean it yourself. My best suggestion, all things considered, is to first turn it off, remove the battery, and after some time, pop all your keys off, soak that entirely in isopropyl alcohol, clean it as thoroughly as you can… (Lenovo computers are relatively straightforward to disassemble; look up videos on how to do it yourself if you’re unsure)… Clean as much as you can and let it thoroughly dry for several days… Then carefully put it back together and hope for the best.
