I’d recommend the TUF. Here’s why: it comes with 16GB RAM, so no need for upgrades. While it lacks an integrated GPU, it outperforms others with a 90WHr battery compared to 58WHr in others, lasting about 5 hours. The software on Asus TUF, particularly Armoury Crate, offers rich features, though it can be buggy. Alternatively, GHelper, a lighter community-driven software, offers similar features without the bloat, managing battery, fans, and RGB controls effectively. However, be aware of potential issues like screen flickering and overheating, which are not uncommon in gaming laptops.
@Quin
Thank you so much for the detailed suggestion. I really appreciate it.
I’d suggest MSI, especially the r7 7735hs model, which includes an integrated GPU, known for better battery performance compared to models without one.

Would I benefit more from the MSI given its integrated GPU?
@Remy
Yes, it’s a better option in my opinion.
@Remy
I’d advise against that MSI model. While not all MSI models have quality issues, that particular one does.
MSI looks better in terms of aesthetics and performance.
My ranking from best to worst based on quality and design would be LOQ, Victus, TUF, then MSI. Lenovo’s LOQ models have improved greatly, and the Victus I own has been reliable for three years. TUF models can be hit or miss due to potential hardware issues. MSI, although budget-friendly, tends to lack in build quality.
@Greer
Thanks for the breakdown!
Consider the LOQ. It offers more RAM compared to the TUF, which can be a significant advantage depending on your needs.
Between ASUS and HP, both are good. I’ve never used Lenovo’s gaming laptops, so I can’t comment there, but I’d avoid MSI due to their notorious build quality issues.
TUF would be my choice, honestly.

I’m considering MSI because of the integrated GPU in its CPU, which is good for battery life. Why do you recommend TUF?

The MSI’s 4060 GPU only runs at 45W, not the 100W expected for that model, effectively performing like a lower-tier 4050. You’re not getting the full performance you might expect.
@Dez
That’s really good to know, thanks!
