Overall I can suggest, that the HP Specter is a terrific option for individuals searching for a high-end laptop with sophisticated capabilities and outstanding performance.

The Spectre is a fantastic choice for a premium two-in-one. The Yoga 9i is another great option.

I own a Spectre x360 2017 256 and still use it for office work. I plan to get a 2020 model with 1TB of i7 1050 graphics as a portable workstation for digital audio and video, as well as light gaming (Starcraft II).

For my use case, I utilize it as a desktop replacement, plugging in a 4K display panel and a 1K panel at the same time, giving me three screens for maximum productivity.

I like being able to Bluetooth a mechanical keyboard and mouse while still having the option of using a touch pad when necessary.

I also appreciate using the touchscreen for pinch zooming and rapid scrolling.

I prefer playing Starcraft II on it with low-to-medium graphical settings and 20-30fps.

Hey Finn, I just thought I could share my experience after using this laptop for about a year and a half.

I purchased the HP Pavilion 15-au114tx (15.6-inch, i5, 8GB RAM, 4GB graphics card) for approximately ₹65,000 (about $910). I could have gotten a cheaper model from Acer or Asus for that money. It worked OK for the first six months, however the hinges began to crack due to poor construction quality. The battery is built-in, which is inconvenient if you need to change it. I’m in college, where many people use laptops, and a few acquaintances who purchased the same model reported the same hinge troubles. While it is slightly more compact than Dell, I believe Dell’s build quality is superior.

My HP screen vibrates anytime I turn on the fan. HP discontinued production of this model due to poor sales, and even modest repairs are now prohibitively expensive due to the scarcity of replacement parts. It appears that large corporations are simply utilizing customers to test their poorly manufactured items. For the money I spent, I could have chosen a brand like Asus or perhaps Apple, which provides well-tested and durable devices, but at a higher price.

Furthermore, HP’s customer service is poor. If you believe I’m simply moaning, ask other HP users if they’d buy another HP laptop.

My advice is to go with a high-quality brand before spending a lot of money
