However, since it’s a “gaming laptop,” it must be fantastic.

Really awful. Try to find an i3 or a Ryzen 3.
An Android phone from 2015 is quicker.
See if you can find the ASUS Vivobook 16 M1605 16.
This one is on my wish list, although I would rather try an AMD processor than an Intel one.
