Pre-owned Lenovo ThinkBook 14 G2

Hi, posting from India. I’m considering buying the mentioned ThinkBook with an i7 11th gen, 16GB RAM, 512GB NVMe, and built-in Iris Graphics. Is it a good deal at 29k INR or about 343 USD?

Do you know which display it comes with? The options are FHD TN, FHD IPS 250-nit, FHD IPS 300-nit, or FHD IPS 300-nit with 100% sRGB.

The seller claims it’s a 1080p FHD IPS with 100% sRGB. I’ll have a chance to check the device in person before making the payment.

@Vesper
They didn’t mention the brightness, though.

@Vesper
If that’s accurate, it’s a fair price. The only model with 100% sRGB also features 300 nits of brightness and a 1200:1 contrast ratio, which is quite decent.

Is there a way to verify if it really has the 100% sRGB display as claimed?

@Vesper
It’s tricky. You could identify the specific LCD model used (which isn’t straightforward in Windows) and then look it up on a site like panelook.com to confirm its specifications.

Is there a specific model number on the laptop that could help with this verification?

@Vesper
Not typically. You won’t find the LCD model number listed on the laptop, and model numbers generally don’t specify details about CTO (configure-to-order) options, which aren’t always listed in Lenovo’s public documentation.

@Winter
I guess I might try using HWiNFO to get more details. Otherwise, it seems like I’ll have to rely on the seller’s honesty, which isn’t ideal.
