Perfect guide for anyone looking for a laptop thank you it really helps people
@Corwin
No problem my friend. My pleasure.
What are you even looking for? One is just a tablet. Ones not really a laptop and one is just a keyboard

I’d mainly do email, word, web browsing, and watching content. And the keyboard is there cause I’d buy the surface with the keyboard case
@Finlo
Then the surface would be good because you would actually get a computer experience. You could do all of that stuff with the Galaxy tab but it would probably lack features compared to windows apps. I would search around though. You could probably find better options for less money.
@Bailey
Surface laptops are pricey, but they’re built to last. I have one with an 8th-gen i7, and it still runs flawlessly. I can even use it to run Android emulators and play mobile games on a big screen.

Probably not…
Surface fs, but depends on what you want to do. For that price you can get a lot of other great things that are probably better.

Base mac m1 is like 650 and I think you will like it.
@Harper
No I want touch display
Do you want a tablet? The tablet will be better for playing games and you can set it up to text and call people. But if you want something for school, or something that will be used for browsing the web, then the surface pro will be the better option.
@Bali
I have apple phone.so texting will not work or calls which I’m ok with personally being in same ecosystem does not bother me at all

iPads are really good, I definitely would take a look at them. But to repeat my point, if you wanting just something to screw around with, like playing video games and just watching YouTube or whatnot, then a tablet is better option. If you’re wanting to use it more as work device like checking emails, programming/coding, zoom calls, then the surface pro is the better option.
Check out this surface pro, I think this a 10core variant, rather than a 12core. But the price difference is quite stark

Surface or a Mac, just don’t get a damn Samsung tablet expecting it to be a laptop

Tell this to iPad users. At least Samsung has Dex and can easily get Linux running.

I’d argue that iOS is better to use as a desktop replacement than Samsung’s solution but I’m a filthy Mac and pixel fanboy that just doesn’t like Samsung (there’s always a better alternative imo and also fuck their refrigerators/appliances) so take my opinion with a grain of salt
But in general, never get an iPad/tablet unless you own another computer that can do computer things. iPads/tablets are great at being tablets, they suck ass at being desktop replacements.
Depends. If you want a laptop for productivity, the IdeaPad series by Lenovo are known for being fast and insanely durable laptops, mine even has a full metal case! If you want a laptop for gaming, I would look for something with at least a 4060 or AMD equivalent in it (also try your best to avoid intel CPUs) or if your ok with using a Bluetooth keyboard and mouse, the steam deck would be the best value option by far. If you want a laptop for video editing, look for one with at least a 4070 and 32gb of RAM.
