Magnesium chassis ThinkPads are great for this, as well as EliteBooks, ZBooks, and 9000-series Latitudes.

Ironically, most 360-degree hinge laptops have really weak hinges.

I don’t move my laptop around much, so I keep the lid open all the time to reduce wear and tear. A little dust on the keyboard isn’t a big deal compared to a broken hinge.
