Maybe so - but the buyer rating is really high for eBay. I’d say it’s worth a shot as eBay has pretty good buyer protection.
@Teo
That’s a good observation that I didn’t make.
@Teo
Really high for eBay??? What? The majority of big sellers are 99.2%+ positive feedback…
The are of course a couple downside of this laptop.
-
OLED tends to get damaged easier than LCD. You will never know if this laptop is a show device and the screen has been on for many hours.
-
OLED+Intel H series is a recipe for short battery life.
I guess the first one is more dominant. Anyway, I think you should get a new laptop if you can already pay more than $400.
@Tatum
thought oled was more power efficient due to it being able to turn off pixels when images were black

for $400 beggars can’t be choosers. I think you will like it if that’s what you can afford.
There are a lot of these sellers on ebay and I think the problem right now is the price difference isn’t much. Like you’ll find deals like yours easily from $400-600 with 3060GPUs which has pushed the price of iGPUs down, especially with the new line of Ryzens. I’m hoping to snipe a MX570 laptop.
@Micah
where are you finding good laptops with gpus for 400$

Just do some search combing and waiting - on ebay right now tons of 3050 laptops at around the $450 depending 10th-12th gen CPU. 3060 are around the $500ish mark. Lots of 4050 in the $500+ range. [I just bought a broken screen HP G9 640 with a 1255u for $130 from this same seller - he always has decent deals IMO]
I think it’s a great deal. At 98% positive for over 20k sales I’d say it’s legit. I would message the seller and ask if there is any oled burn in.
strange as hell. how is it so cheap?
Iris XE graphics is not that bad especially on office laptops like this. I have a similar one HP Elitebook 840 G8 and most of the time I’m using it as a WFH computer and I tried running PCSX2 and I can play in x2 Resolution without any lags.
Well in terms of process it’s 12th gen and it seems like a decent machine for the price. At least to me seems fine and look at the seller; seems legit to me.
What do you guys do with these? Seems pretty useless without a gpu.

For a ton of people’s use-cases a GPU does not matter. I personally have no real use for a dedicated GPU on my everyday laptop hence why I was fine going with the new Snapdragon Elite Surface. If I want to game, I’ll just use my desktop at home. Battery life and portability are way more important for what I want out of my laptop.

Most people don’t use computers for gaming.
