I just swapped the battery in my laptop, and now there’s an X on the battery icon. Does anyone know what this means?
This can happen when the battery is extremely low or not detected properly. It might be similar to the red X icon on older systems. I’m not sure why the X is placed in the center now.
Your battery is like, ‘I’m done.’

Gone but not forgotten.
Did you check if you connected it properly? Sometimes it’s a loose connection.
Maybe the battery isn’t even recognized by the system.
Looks like the battery might’ve disappeared into another dimension!
The battery is done for.
Looks like it’s time to replace the battery.
That usually means the system doesn’t detect any battery connected.
It’s like an error message saying, ‘Battery not found.’
You might’ve killed it.

Wait… don’t tell me you tried biting it!
It either isn’t connected or it’s completely dead.
The real question is, ‘Where’s the battery?’ not ‘What’s wrong with it.’
The battery might not be supported by the laptop’s system BIOS.

Could be. Sometimes it’s a mismatch or maybe dirt on the battery pins. Try reconnecting it and cleaning the contacts.
Looks like it broke free from the matrix.
Just replace the battery.
Try this: power off, unplug the battery, hold the power button for 15 seconds, reconnect the battery, and let it charge fully. Run it down to 15% and repeat three times. It might fix the issue.
