In essence, there is a partial separation between the keyboard base and the screen. Additionally, the picture shows a black cord connecting them. However, it functions perfectly.
There is a good chance that the black cord is conveying a display signal. As this kind of damage is likely to develop considerably worse, you should have it fixed. The best choice is a repair business. Unless the battery is damaged, it won’t blow up.
My foolish brain mistook this for a combat jet with a broken nose.

It probably won’t, but you never know! Haha! According to what it is. Certain things are safe, while others well, not so much. What is the state of things?
