My wife needs a laptop for school she is a Pysch Major so needs laptop with good battery life, handle a lot of typing, and also complete research. Also here budget is from 800-1100 dollars. I kinda just want something off the shelf from Costco.
this actually depends on the stock of your local costco. When you check the site they show you whatever warehouse they think is closest.
Without more information recommendations will just be shots in the dark. But for a general use laptop for college, which I assume you want decent battery life and a decent screen, as well as portability, just pick something from the costco section labeled “windows copilot pcs”. These will have the latest laptops. Alternatively, a MacBook air is also a decent option, with the lowest spec builds around 800-900 right now.
If you want super long battery life and cheap price, you might want to check out one of those new Qualcomm Snapdragon laptops, but be aware of the ARM architecture as there are some software compatibility issues right now.
Make sure to check ARM software compatibility to make sure it will work for you: https://windowsonarm.org/
Please note that these laptops with the Qualcomm CPU is new (like only released for a few months), so there could be some system instability and software bugs.
