Can anyone help with my laptop's issues?

Looks like the paint is peeling off. Maybe overheating?

Is this something a bag of rice can fix?

Feels like we’re being baited with a survivor from a fire or something.

Actually, some Acer laptops are known for their paint bubbling up and flaking off. Not fire-related, just bad design.

Did you spill something on it? The surface looks terrible.

If it’s an Acer, this happens sometimes. The paint bubbles and cracks over time. Saw the Acer sticker on it, by the way.

Where’s the laptop? All I see is some wreckage!

If it’s an Acer Swift, I’ve had the same issue. A cooling pad stopped it from getting worse.

The battery feels swollen too.

You should replace the battery immediately. Swollen batteries are dangerous and could catch fire.

Judging by the state of it, it already looks like it’s been on fire!

Looks perfect to me! :joy:

The Acer logo says all there is to say.

Stay away from it—it looks contagious!

Is it shedding its skin or what?

Exactly what I was thinking!

Have you been blocking the vents? Looks like heat damage from poor airflow. Try using a cooling pad.

It’s less about vent placement and more about bad design. Many laptops avoid this by venting from the sides.

Have you tried plugging it in to charge?
