Can I charge my laptop using a USB C cable?

Nop

Gaming laptops usually you can’t charge via USB-C, as they often draw a LOT of power (like 200+ watts). USB-C can charge at a max of 240 watts, but it costs more for manufacturers to implement so they just use their proprietary ports and chargers.

The local library may have available computers for you to take your online exam.

I forgot the charger home and thought the same thing last week but no because it’s just a data transfer (it’s not connected to the battery)

The logo indicates that the port supports DisplayPort. I’ve come across almost zero laptops that supported DP but not Power Delivery. Try it - nothing bad will happen if it’s not supported. You probably need a 65W or higher charger though.

@Adley
I tried with a 30W it didn’t work. Have ordered a 45W which will get delivered tomorrow. You think I should cancel and go for a higher one instead? Guy at the repair store told me to try 45W minimum.

@Blane
This being a gaming laptop, I doubt anything less than 65W will work, even that is iffy. I’d just try a 100W like this one, at $22 it’s not significantly more expensive than a 45W or 65W adapter.

Yes you can I read it online

You will need a pd charger
