My laptop developed a similar issue after a year. It’s called backlight bleed.

That looks like screen burn-in, which happens when the screen displays the same image for too long. You might want to check with others who have the same model.

This is an LCD screen, which doesn’t typically suffer from burn-in like OLEDs do.

IPS panels don’t have burn-in issues; that’s incorrect information.
