How Much Might This Cost?

I recently had an accident, and my 15-inch HP Victus gaming laptop screen is now cracked. Everything still works perfectly. Does anyone have an idea of how much it might cost to repair? Let me know if more details are needed.

Damn, Zura got messed up

What is the SKU of the laptop? It should be something like ‘fa0161TX’. Check the sticker on the back. Once found, look up the part number for the screen.

fb2082wm. Thank you! I found a matching screen online.

@Brooke
HP lists part numbers for replacements on their support site. You can confirm there.

You can replace it yourself—buy the screen from eBay for the cost of the part.

True, but it’s not always worth it. For this laptop, it probably is since it’s not an expensive or high-grade screen.

@Haven
It’s almost always worth doing yourself. Most replacements are simple and the parts are affordable.

There are cases when it’s not worth it, like for Apple devices or high-end screens. But I agree, for most consumer laptops it is.

@Haven
Got it. This isn’t Apple, so yes, it’s worth it.

Exactly. Just wanted to clarify for others reading.

Looks like someone might have slashed your screen. Ask them to pay for it or face consequences.

Expect around $100 for the LCD part and 30–60 minutes for labor. Not too bad overall.

Around $75 plus shipping. Here’s a video on how to replace the screen: https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=PQj4SEP4oPk

No problem, hope you can fix it yourself!

The cost would be the screen plus any service fee.

Might need a new laptop.

Around $200 from HP. My HP Pavilion screen replacement was quoted at $200 including taxes and labor.

A lot.
