I added an extra heatsink to this poor laptop

I thought most gaming laptops are made for the heat they make so messing with the laptop in this way would likely increase heat inside the PC due to airflow changes.

  1. this is not a high-end gaming laptop 2. this solution literally blows directly to the motherboard and cools it even further and the temps are overwhelmingly good.

@Ainsley
Hmmmmm ok you cannot see me but I’m shrugging.

That is a good idea, just put a filter over that second fan to keep it from getting dirty.

Or you know, just get a fan cooled laptop stand…

I tried that. cooling the die directly is a better solution

But at the expense of drilling holes on the case.

I doubt the extra heat pipe is doing much when they get bent or dented it reduces the ability to dissipate heat as well.

i tested its heat dissipation and bent it as good as I can and it worked good

but I did bend one by accident, it was too thin.

I would add more RAM first but if it works it works, also make sure the heat pipe isn’t pinched too much.

Don’t put your wrists on there.

Dust intake.

tf is “alt gr” :eyes:.

Hahahaha.

My question is… does it work?

I mean the temps are very chill minus 20 degrees compared to the last temps

but I didn’t overclock it so it did just 3 fps more.

Can you still put it on your lap? If not can it still be considered a laptop?

the fan and the heatsink doesn’t take any additional space so its shape didn’t change

but this laptop is very cheap and cheap laptops generally suck

the fan is powered by a usb port.

be very careful with your drinks.

how did you make/seal the heat pipe?
