Maybe actually find out what you need next time instead of assuming?

Yeah ik it’s 100% my fault but I swear every single ideaPads g 3 I’ve seen in my lifetime had an m.2 2242 as the default driver and A second slot that supports an M.2 SSD 2280 except mine, It was literally the other way around

Hello, fellow Dell G3 3500 user. (I have the same laptop acting as a server rn lmao)

sell it and buy new ( there is nothing you can do now )

Tape it down and pray or return it and buy a smaller one

Sit it down, make sure it is connected to the MB. slap non conductive tape, close the laptop (if the nvme bulge isn’t getting in the way). done

It is the wrong slot

The slot you need is in the bottom right corner of the picture

Replace the old SSD with the new one (if the thickness permits)

You can either get an enclosure for it (make sure it’s the right one) or replace your boot drive with the new SSD

Remove the bolt and just stick it in…

ehh just tape it down. should be fine

What model is this laptop bro?

Pmsl.

Buy a new one at the correct length.
This is why you research properly.

As I see it, there’s 2 choices. You can buy short RAM or you can take a power drill and and drill a hole in that bitch so you can put the screw in. I guess there’s the third option of cutting the RAM in half too.
