Is this deal worth it or should I wait for a better one?

Looking for a reliable work laptop within a $500-600 budget. Torn between Lenovo, HP, and Dell, but this specific deal caught my eye. Any advice?

I owned a Dell Inspiron for about 3 years. It had a major hinge problem, and the screen detached and cracked when I opened it. This seems to be a common issue if you search online. I’d suggest staying away from Dell.

Look into Lenovo Yoga or HP Spectre when they go on sale. These models are higher quality within their brands. If you need something cheaper, try the Lenovo Ideapad.

I recently found an HP Spectre 14-inch with 3K OLED for $790 as an open-box deal.

@Neve
I’ve read about hinge issues with HP and motherboard problems with Lenovo. That’s why I was considering Dell. But yeah, the Spectre series is similar to the XPS lineup, so it makes sense that it would be their top product.

@Eliot
I stick to higher-end lines now. Lenovo Yoga, HP Spectre, or a MacBook are my go-to choices unless it’s for gaming. Buying an open-box premium model is often better than getting a new low-end one.

Not familiar with Korean brands, so I can’t speak on those.

@Neve
I’ll keep an eye out for deals on these. Appreciate the advice!

At that price, I managed to get one with a GPU. It does add a bit of weight and the battery drains faster when using it, but it’s not a big issue for me.

No way, not worth it.

Where are you located, and is this budget in USD?

I’m in the US, so yes, the budget is in dollars.
